The publishing landscape has changed. Authors today have more control over how they publish than ever before. That independence is valuable—but it can also come with a challenge.
An author can publish a book without the promotional infrastructure that traditionally published books can benefit from. We believe those two things should be separated.
The way a book is published should not determine how seriously it can be promoted.
Our Purpose
Closing the Promotional Gap.
David Literary was built around that belief. Our purpose is to help close the promotional gap between independently published and traditionally backed books by bringing a traditional-publishing promotional model to independent books.
Not by taking control away from authors. Not by changing what they created. And not by pretending independent publishing is traditional publishing.
Instead, we build a serious promotional strategy around the book while allowing the author to remain independent.
Our Philosophy
Independent Doesn't Have to Mean Unsupported.
Authors should be able to keep the advantages of independence without automatically accepting the disadvantage of having to promote alone.
You can own your book. You can make your own publishing decisions. You can remain independent. And still have a coordinated promotional system working behind your book.
Independent publishing is a publishing model.
It does not have to be a promotion model.
